The straps aren't too tight, and if so, they're so stretchy i don't think they would be uncomfortable. The bottom (where your foot rests) is soft but supportive. The strap allows ease to take on or off.

They do not have any velcro or buckling to close the shoe, they just slide on.

I bought 2 more pairs, denim and beige, and walked all over italy on a 15 day trip.

Packaging/appearance

First time out the box i wore them to the botanical gardens in 94 degree texas sun heat.

This particular pair came dirty and there were strange medicine pills in the box so quality control may need some work.
