I used acetone to clean the head then put a new edge on it, blued the steel and then polished it to a mirror.
This thing is very sharp out of the box if you buy one be very careful.

The price is great and with a little love, you get a nice nordic style hatchet.
First off i got it at a good price and got it as a starter carving axe.
Packaging/appearance
Came in a plain brown box, hatchet was wrapped in white bubble wrap.
It also didn't come with a whetstone.

The symmetry is decent not crooked like i have seen in other hatchet brands on amazon, which i was worried about.

While the steel is far from perfect it is symmetrical and seems a decent grind and geometry

As an example any more standard axe use with a longer handle i would need a good synthetic or ash or hickory
