The fit for me is very similar to sorels or keen boots and i usually go up half a size in both of those for length with thick socks.

Thus ive had a chance to test these out and the conditions they were made for and i did not slip or slide anywhere and my feet stay dry

These are a little snug at first but they do seem to be broken in after a little while
