It runs on 2-aa batteries, only, and they last quite a long time even with the always on display for time.
It’s super loud is very small but the sound quality is incredible.
Sound quality is as to be expected - transistor radio.
Packaging/appearance
Set up was easy-very easy and worked right out of the boxc.
I wrote a negative review when i took the radio out of the box.
Competitiveness
It's a great radio for a low price.
Good to have incase of power outage or just keep in car for sitting in a park.
I bought this to replace a sangean small desktop radio that died.

A backlight comes on when turning the radio on or off and anytime you press any of the buttons on the unit for several seconds then it goes off but the display is always on

As i had to test and find out to answer a question asked on amazon about the alarm function and you can set it to alarm with either the am or fm radio but the alarm will not wake to the weather radio

As i only use it for one am and one fm station i actually dont know if it can be programmed for saving stations however it doesnt appear to be able to save or program stations
