I have a dremel model 400 f013400000 that i purchased over 20 years ago but the shaft rotation lock button has broken off so i decided to try the latest version from dremel this model 4000 f013400006 125 variable speed rotary tool kit

As you can see in the included pictures the body has been changed and it now wider near towards the rotational tip which i find to be a little more cumbersome for using it for detailed work with my medium sized hands

Something that im disappointed in the new model the router foot and extension cable from my old unit are not compatible with this new unit i prefer the old router foot because it has a cutout so i could see the bit in relation to the lines marked on my project using this new router foot is similar working blind and hoping that you arent going over the lines

Also the shank and collar are a different size so i cant use the old attachments with this new model such as the saw router foot and extension cable
