With the evaporative feature on, there is a slight, occasional sound of water circulating through the pipes, but again it's hardly noticeable. On oscillate my bedroom is nicely fragranced.
This is very versatile. Great fan for my household. This is okay right in the ballpark. I am really impressed with their quality.
Fan uses ice boxes in a cooling compartment to provide cool air. Includes 2 reusable freezer packs that can be placed inside the water reservoir to increase the cooling effect of air passing through cold water.
The fan has the ability to have water placed in a reservoir in the back. There is an additional function for the evaporative action. The water tanks fills with about a gallon of water.
Cons
Fan is quiet but way too much money for just a fan. Manufacturer clearly states that this unit is not an air conditioner. But buyer beware! After using it for 2 weeks, it was returned as the cooling effect was minimal.
