Pros & Cons
Pros
Thinner than the 3’s - works well for basting quilts. Great for pinning quilts before sewing. Easier to use when sandwiching your project to prepare for quilting.
The once in a while troubled one doens't leave me frustrated with the project. Does what it is supposed to.
These basting pins are very sturdy and strong. Curved shape makes it go much faster in pinning and since they close don't have to worry about getting pricked. Some people use a tool to catch the pin, others use a teaspoon, or their fingers.
Keeps fabric in place. Now they glide easily into the fabric. Only wish they came in a reusable case because now they live in a ziplock baggie.
Cons
These quilting safety pins leave much to be desired when it comes to their sharpness. Not sharp at all.

Highlights
Quality
I used it with the kwik klips pin basting tool.
Perfect, not always, but the once in a while troubled one doens't leave me frustrated with the project.
Be careful what fabrics you use these with.
I like the size, but with the size comes thickness.
Packaging/appearance
They go through 3 layers easily without leaving large holes in the fabric.
Competitiveness
They take a littlie time to get the right hang on how to use them.
