Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought this for grandma a few years back. Mom loves it and so does the fire dept. It is useful for getting out of bed and also for re-positioning herself in the bed.
The helpers are very easy to assemble, only four bottom feet to screw into the frame. Easy to attach to the frame, the feet have height adjusters, and it does not get in the way of the bed linens.
It holds his weight as he turns over in bed and gets repositioned. Because it attaches to the bed frame and has adjustable feet, it is very sturdy.
No more bars under my mattress. Pricier than most other bed rails.
Cons
It's being packaged, shipped, and sold with defects in the paint coating and dents in the metal. Didn't quite fit on my bed rail.
