Extra height makes seating safe and comfortable for my elderlies. The lid is a bit concave when closed so you can sit comfortably on it. It's nice to have a lid that closes.
Cons
This product is garbage and broke 2 months after purchase causing my father to fall and injure himself. It continually pops loose and as a result, turns sideways when you sit on it. Box says not for elongated toilets.

It is very simple to install and well constructed.
This does not, as advertised i believe, fit an elipitical toilet very well--which was what i had originally bought for .
Measure from the seat bolts at the back to the front of the bowl, like they show on the amazon diagrams.

No need to purchase a new raised toilet and go to all that expense.
Good value despite the above comments, if have the appropriate toilet for it to rest on .
It is now more convenient to sit down but it is especially nice to be able to get up and that for a very good price.

Fortunately i had an older toilet with rounder bowl and it fit more or less perfectly there because you can not return hygiene products

It is not very comfortable somewhat of a hard surfaceespecially for people with hip problems but the extra height does work to advantage in those circumstances
