Pros

Follow the instructions for resuscitating my router. Gnd to gnd, rx to rx, and tx to tx. The esp32 dev c board uses the cp2102 chip.

One of the best $7. Esp8266 boards i screw around with. Comes in enclosed plastic case, preventing shorts or accidental contact with metal objects.

Cons

No /dev/cu device showing up in the list of available devices. Why the manufacturer used a cloudy case instead of clear plastic is beyond my comprehension.

Works as expected, i used to program a couple of arduinos mini pro and have no issues at all, used on linux and windows 10

Cables are far to short to be practical for a desktp in a hard to reach place and the reach a router, or intended use

I really like how affordable this item was.

Time will tell how long this will last, but for the price you can't beat it.

Frankly, i bougt it because it was inexpensive, but devices twice the price couldn't have worked any better.
