Pros
Fits the lens perfectly and closes completely. If you install it with the 'groove' over the raised bolt heads at the base of the lens (which is really the only logical way you can install it), then it functions 100% fine.
Used it on my 70-200 canon lens ii and worked perfect. This fits the first edition of the70-200 2.
The mounting flat has two holes just like the original and the thumb screw locked right down on set-up. The only con is that the screw is harder to get it wiggles in there but i am sure after plenty of use things will loosen up a bit.
L is mk ii lens. Purchased to mount a 500mm mirror lens that was converted to a telescope. If you use canon's big glass you need this if oem tripod support ring doesn't come with the lens.
Spent hours scouring the web for a collar for this lens. It is very similar to the collar from canon for my canon 70-200 f/2.
Cons
The inside of the ring on the original canon mount is hollowed out to fit the screws, the replace is not. On the 70-200, it fits on the lens, but not without some fiddling. Did not fit my canon 70- 200 is 2.

This one is all aluminum that won't breakit balances my lens and camera on the tripod as advertised.
This replacement collar can only be used horizontally; i wasn't able to photograph vertically with it.

Works as advertised and the delivery was very quick.
Every time i emailed the seller for the shipping status, he replied quickly with updates, and he even offered me a refund.
I had to have it shipped to my parents in mt then forwarded.
My shipment was delayed by one-month; however i'm not blaming the seller (it appears my package got held up in transit and/or at customs).
