I bought this for my cctv recorder as the one supplied kept throwing alarms up each time the hard drive spun up (i fitted a 4 tb hard drive) the instructions for the cctv recorder did not state what size hard drive you could fit as soon as i turned it on it was screaming at me i tried a psu double the original one which was only 1 amp but the second one i tried 3 amp and whilst not making as much noise was still a problem so i decided to go for this one which is 10 times the output of the original but at least it works does not get hot and everything is good this puts out what it states which is better than a lot of the others and at a decent price.  Read Less
