The old original extended life battery lasted 10 minutes before it died which was ok to move it around then plug it in again

I only used the laptop very lightly just to make sure it was on and some browsing

Two seconds later and it was showing 97 charge

Note that it took the dell bios about 3 charge cycles to realise what was going on by which i mean the battery life was much less
