Btw if you have problems with your system taking new ram something that works is removing the cmos battery for awhile and then installing the new ram and restarting only on ac power minus the battery

The 2 sticks i got matched right down to the crucial modelserial number as read by system scanning software you can get for free online

But the system had only 1gb ram so there was a lot of swapping going on

Its a 32 bit system so it wont be able to address the entire 4gb free m says 3
