It does prevent the snow from sticking in the chute and on the auger and slinger.
As long as the chute remained slick it still discharged the snow well with zero clogs.
Zero clogs at the discharge chute which was always a problem before.

This gets my endorsement and is well worth the price
99, today 12/6/24, i wanted to get a 2nd one for our son and price has double to $16.
Xx, so bought it at ace hardware for $8.
I also think the price is a bit high.

It worked well on all three and was especially appreciated on the shovel as the next snowfall was 14 inches of heavy wet snow

As i mentioned that was 14 inches of fresh wet heavy snow plus it had been warm so the snow was initially melting from the bottom up until the ground cooled

I also used the machine both times to clean the street so that the city plow would not fill my driveway with snow
