A good thing as this device switches vga monitors only which i did realize when i bought it

I had expected separate outputs from the device for monitor and usb keyboard and mouse

However this device assumes that it will switch monitors so you must use the combined vgausb cables that come with it

The inputs to the box are separate keyboard mouse monitor but the outputs are combined the unit has a single proprietary vga cable out for each computer but at the computer end it has separate vga and usb output plugs

So if you dont have a monitor to switch you just leave the vga plugs hanging and all else works well

I also still have a wireless keyboardmouse plugged into the other computer so that it can be operated standalone when desired

Although my monitor had two inputs with a source button i was tired of removing the usb dongle and plugging it into the computer i wanted to use and then hitting the source button on the monitor to display the correct computer
