I have seen some units that are a rats nest of wires but the esds 8way av switch rca switcher has pcb mounted switches and jacks and there is only one short ribbon cable between the two pcbs

Internet searches for a better built replacement found a number in the 1015 ranges but all the ones considered included the subject of this review seem to have too many reviews associated with poor quality defective when received or shortly after introduced electrical interference noise into the audio sometimes video outputs the video switching not working right or the pushbuttons andor rotary switches not work right

While the amazon reviews average rating for this esds and 3 other similar function boxes i considered were good 4 stars it was disturbing that there were always around 20 or more of 1 and 2 star reviews that basically said these things were junkunusable

Since in my particular situation i is just selecting between two stereo receivers audio outputs where only one receiver would be powered at any time to a pair of speakers thought perhaps there would be less chance of electrical interference when only one set of audio inputs passing through the box at any time
