I did use my own hdmi cables since i didn't need the 5' length provided with the kvm.
I had bought a number of kvms that came with the wires attached and all of them were bad in some way or the other.
The setup was not as clear as the ugreen but after playing around with the setup for about 2 hours i finally got it to work.
Trying to watch video was annoying with the screen tearing and i could see the mouse lag a fraction of a second.
Price
After using another kvm that cost $1,200 -and each computer you connect uses a $100 dongle- this e-sds kvm works exactly as needed.
Packaging/appearance
Unlike a lot of kvm switches, all of the connections are on the rear panel so the cables are out of the way.
Competitiveness
Much better than iogear stuff i've used in the past.
I have a 2560 x 1600 display and it worked at 60hz which was not clear from the manufacturer.
The screen is a dell ultra-wide running at 50hz and at a resolution of 3440x1440.
You could put a startech logo on this and i'd absolutely believe it was by them, it's that good of quality.

I was worried about being able to access bioseufi menus after a past experience with a cheap kvm but you can definitely access bioseufi of your machines with this kvm which would have been a deal breaker for me i think the issue with some is that inputs were too slow register the f11f12del to open the menu quick enough

Plus the fact that it comes with all the cables you need makes this thing super cheap i was looking at 100 just for extra cables if i bought a different kvm

Editnew review says4 starworks but came with faulty hdmi cableafter much troubleshooting aforementioned issue was isolated to one of the hdmi cables that came with the kvm

The provided hdmi and usb cables are good quality but you may need an adapter or adapter cable for the monitor or computer video ports if they are not all hdmi

Monitor needs to be power cycled to see incoming hdmi connection

Monitor work fine when directly connected to both devices but not when connected through the kvm
