Pros & Cons
Pros
The cable is stainless and the install couldn't be easier. Down without problems.
Sacrificial anode works great. Perfect length for my 40 gal gas wh. Replaced solid 46 inch anode in 50 gallon water heater.
Use pipe dope and do not crank it down. Got this info from a certified plumber.
Replaced first rod at 6 yrs, now at 12 yrs. Thankfully, the old one was not completely eaten away.
Cons
The thread is incorrect. Very dissatisfied with the quality control of this part.
Highlights
Quality
Quality product and over the top service
Perfect length for my 40 gal gas wh.
Evidently in depends on the water quality you have in your home.
Shipping
This rod fit perfectly and i'm always amazed how fast the seller and amazon send these products.
But it was fast to replace ( old one had to be opened with a breaker bar).
Competitiveness
They say to check the rod every year especially if you use a water softner system.
My tank is 6 years old and i use a water softner.
I found out anode rods corrodes faster with tanks using a water softner system.
I then tried a light duty 18v dewalt impact driver but it just didn't have the torque.
