The best mic i've ever tried, i've got the best sound with minimal eq also with initial range kicks drums, absolutely great!
My new favorite kick mic, records great, works great live.
-1 star in durability because mount already loose with gentle handling.
Adding an e901 inside kick drum, should be a great combo
Price
Aside from the mount, this is a great mic that sounds absolutely killer for the price.
Shipping
I assume sennheiser would honor their warranty, but i'd rather not fuss with shipping.
Competitiveness
The closest was the 421, but still required a fair bit of tweaking for my preference.
I haven't used the other comparable mics including the shure 52a or akg d112.

Ive tried various mics on the kick including re20 md421 sm57 and d112

My usual technique was to either use two mics or to use a kick trigger with an electronic kick to crispen up the sound
