I have a congenital defect in my right ear and loud sound or too much background noise gets painful by the end of the day

I have used it for sleeping in noisy hotels and they are very comfortable way more that foam earplugs which are way too bulky

Although i dont own an etymotic comparable model id imagine the small plastic tip that protrudes outwards could be a problem while sleeping

What i ended up with typically was one ear blocked more than the other creating an imbalanced audio experience

Ive tried the foam ear protectors but they cut out too much of the sound

I guess so long as the tinnitus that i constantly hear is louder than the turbulence then the ear plugs are doing their job
