Pros & Cons
Pros
The bag is incredibly sturdy, well-made, comfortable, and it looks like it's going to last many years. Good bang for the buck.
The backpack is durable and waterproof and secure. Earth pak's site has their original backpack for half price (30 bucks) which is effectively the same backpack but some slight mods.
Second has clothes/toiletries/lights/all the miscellaneous items, another <35 lbs. It functions exactly as it is described. It is large. I always hope i won't need it, but i like a company that believes in its product.
Cons
The bag is very light weight, nt too heavy.

Packaging/appearance
The straps aren’t very cushiony either if you were to be carrying a lot of weight in the pack and hiking.
For the 3 hours we were up there, the pack held well but again caution on the 55l because unrolling the straps to pull out stuf... Read More
My back got sweaty fast thanks to the best weather and no breathing between my back and the pack.
Competitiveness
Building a bug-out bag for my kid, you can stuff a lot in here and keep it dry.
It’s not what you would get at rei or a specialty store however it works well and is a fraction of the price.
