I tested it briefly during a kayak trip & it seems to do a very good job at keeping water out. The yellow color of the backpack is also a nice touch, adding a pop of brightness to my outdoor adventures. This backpack last 4 tree planting seasons.
Cons
After that it was rendered useless and was just used as a stationary storage area. Very poor quality.

This is incredibly sturdy and well made
Clasps lock together very tight and straps have good adjustments that are accessible to wearer.
The external splash proof pocket bottom got delaminated within a week.
Dragged over a 6ft waterfall current was so strong that we got pulled past the portage.
Price
This bag is a fantastic deal for the price!
So far, it has fulfilled both of those functions, and at a very reasonable price.
However for the price this is a helluva deal!
The backpack frame isn't ortlieb-level but for what you pay, it's pretty good.
Shipping
They said my delamination problem is a defect and shipped me a new bag within three days.
Packaging/appearance
Bought this for a trip to costa rica, and it looks great.
Pack dragged 600meters down rough waters (secured to the canoe that was upside down.
Guessed on the right size, kept everything dry and best part was the back pack straps fir easy carrying.
Love the space provided for packing everything except ‘the kitchen sink’.
Competitiveness
This bag is less than half the price of all other mainstream competitors.

Its 100 water proof very thick the clothes you put inside would stil be dry even after heavy rain or or snow storm i super highly recommend this bag this is a super bag that you should but its worth every dollars it wont let you down 1010
