Pros & Cons
Pros
The marchway 20l is heavier than the earth pak, but their durability makes up for it. Strap & clips seem to be durable.
Earth pak backpack is great. The buckles and straps are all nice and it's easy to roll up and stuff in another bag, so it takes up almost no space. It's a good size to strap to the rack on the back of his bike.
The earth pak is about 1 inch taller when flat. It is actually about 1/2 inch wider when flat which would equate to about 1 increase in circumference.
Cons
This bag is 100% not waterproof. Stitching is loose after one use, but it is waterproof. The nylon attached to the strap is securely sewn, so that when the strap breaks, it cannot be replaced.
I have the 10l, the 20l and 55li used the 55liter to stash a dutch oven at a favorite camping spot and even with 6 tightly wrapped rolls it leaks. Do not reccomend. Will be returning this product. Phone case is garbage.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of this product is excellent!
Went with the 55l bag so i could put my duffle bag inside vs just my clothes and gear.
Some may be able to get away with the 10l.
Because if you use the product correctly, it does work just fine.
Price
Thought the price was adequate, no complaints.
As the price isn't that much different, i recommend getting the 40 l or larger.
Shipping
Was super fast to open and toss in items during sudden downpours.
Packaging/appearance
The marchway was 340 grams while the earth pak was 400 grams, 17.
I did a test on this, putting a brick inside then putting the bag into the bathtub (as i watched another reviewer do).
Competitiveness
I have a pixel 6 pro with a spigen grip case on, and it fits just right.
I sank my yak 3 times this weekend on an amazing river trip threw high wends and the bag held up and full of stuff it floated i... Read More
Went on a 7-day bike trip to florida.
You could definitely fit a t-shirt if you tightly rolled it up.
