Pros & Cons
Pros
We take these with us kayak camping in eugene oregon on the willamette and mckenzie river and they work so well. Perfect for 2 campers & their dog for a 3 day canoe trip. Rode thru a deluge on my paddle board. Went on a 10 day bike trip.
My only tiny complaint is that the blue is an actual blue and not as pictured (looked lighter, more aqua in the photo) great value.
The level of craft and design for these bags - bought 2 - is exceptional. These 50l bags exceed my expectations and have become a trusted piece of my kit. The only 2 cons i would say is if going to a sandy place it will stick to the bag but does brush... Read More
It has multiple closures to ensure it’s not only dry, but not easily tampered with. Still has a bunch of room for additional gear such as foul weather gear, extra clothing etc. The mesh pockets are great on the inside and outside.
This goes on top of the car on my thule carrier with camping gear. Has 2 adding 2 make 4 for better symmetric tiedown. First time tightening it. The buckle and strap are strong enough to hold this weight.
Cons
Not safe to check as luggage since there is no zipper or way to lock the bag. The buckles are cheap plastic, and one broke the first time i synched down the strap. The back pack version seems to be a more durable than this one.
Highlights
Quality
The quality is very good and would buy again, bought the 5,10, and 20 liter also
Granted it's the first real trip, so time will tell, but so far i'm happy with the bag.
I have several other earth-pak dry bags with the roll top, and i love them.
It was the male side with the funky looking little clip.
Packaging/appearance
The large roll top opening makes it very easy to access the contents.
Competitiveness
These 50l bags exceed my expectations and have become a trusted piece of my kit - 3000 miles of hard use in the last three weeks.

This bag is only waterproof if you have at least 3 to 4 folds in the opening after clipping together which does not allow for much gear
