I finally bit the bullet and did it myself and im extremely happy that i did it two screws after pulling the battery and maneuvering the numerous clips the old keyboard came out and the new one slipped in

I do have to say to make absolutely sure the ribbon connector is slipped in and clipped in properly i thought i had put it in the correct way the first time but when i powered on the laptop the keyboard wasnt working so i had to do the process over again and took a couple extra seconds to ensure the connection was in properly

Thank goodness for youtube since there were no instructions with the keyboard

Start to finish was 20 minutes and 15 of that was because i wasnt following the video instructions correctly

Im pretty satisfied but what bothers me a little is the keyboard i got has a windows 8 or 10 logo for the start button instead of the windows 7 logo

The keyboard screws are not in the exact same place for all hp keyboards and it would be unreasonable to expect separate instructions for each model
