The sound is deeper, richer than the dots, though they sound great. Only major complaint is the voice recognition as it often mishears what i've said.

It is not in settings as some people have surmised. The instruction they give you disabling communication never works.

This speaker makes a loud annoying announcement every time it detects (or re-detects) the bluetooth connection its using. The sound on this is worse than the speaker on the cheapest smartphone. Microphone sensitivity is terrible.
