Pros

Rd gen echo show 8 has the best sound quality of all the show models imo, (i also have 3 show 15's) new operating system and processor. Upgrade from show 5; huge difference. Price is higher currently for this device than 2nd gen bye a bit.

Alexa devices are very affordable and typically come in at a noticeable lower price than competitors. The sound, available apps (would like an xfinity stream app though), screen responsiveness, etc.

It is packaged very well and showed up on time. The glacier white edition was a very easy setup other than turning of all the amazon add ons. Fast delivery.

The audio quality is excellent and the screen is quite crisp. Better treble and base when listening to music. Great for video calls to family, also sounds great when playing music. I have it paired up with a echo sub and the music sounds so good!

Cons

The hub and smart home functions are hard to configure and sometimes lose lock. Sound quality is worse than an echo dot.

Very pleased with the new features offered on the newer version, like being able to check in on the house with the camera.

Way too small, buggy, bad camera quality and sound quality.

You may also be turned off with the constant amazon notifications and recommendations.

The price is higher currently for this device than 2nd gen bye a bit .

But i'm sure with time it will lower but for the product i received i'm not upset with the price currently.
