Cost less than that heavy conventional battery.

They do cost more, but they keep a charge longer & don't demand you keep track of long you charge them or when.

Packaging/appearance

They are in a nice tight package and if they have the full power they claim i will be happy.

They are great for packing around when i've fishing.

I don't have a lot of experience with other batteries so i don't know if the size and weight are better or worse than other brands.
