The best bang for the buck, considering the other solar submersible pumps i have on 2 other wells cost $750 and $1400 each. Makes a little bit of noise, but nothing objectionable.
Cons
This seems to be damaged or faulty. After contacting through amazon they quit responding.
This motor is not worth the installation hassle. One side of the commutator winding group was heavily eroded. They sell these as for 4 inch casing, 4inch casing is 4.

I have it hooked to a deep cycle marine battery and a 200w solar panel.
I will be replacing the 4 old 40 watt solar panels with 2 new 100watt panels for better performance on cloudy days.

It does shut off if you have a frozen chunk in the line but i could not get a definite answer is it has a pressure shut off built in or not

However 3 to 4 mins of run time in water that is 50 to 52 degrees fahrenheit pump shuts off for no apparent reason
