Pros & Cons
Pros
The only thing i'm not thrilled about is the inclusion of a pwm charge controller. Rated at a glorious 60 watts (figure 50 in less than perfect conditions) swapping it out with my renogy rover controller produces 5 amps. These are less wattage from my... Read More
The only drawback is that it doesn't have legs to stand it up so you have to get creative, especially on windy days. Likes are the leg design with the 4 removable/repositionable legs. Wish they were water resistant against drizzle.
You can charge a lithium-ion battery via dc. Comes with a bevy of connectors for whatever you want to hook it to, as well as a set of alligator clips to connect to a car battery if you need to. It is easy to setup, comes with a cable that is about 10 ... Read More
This one gives you useable power in a relatively portable fashion, at a decent budget, with lots of interconnectivity. Panel is portable. The panels are great for portability but the output is lacking.
Cons
This thing is huge for only getting 60w. It sags in the middle due to only having 2 kickstands.
Looks like this brand is run from a home office or something, while manufacturing being done overseas, which is common. Company refused to respond or replace.
Highlights
Quality
Over all, pleased with the product and it does exactly what it says.
I initially saw an issue with the product as a result of shipping, and after notifying the seller, they sent me a replacement immediately!
And with the controller it will limit the output, w/o the controller i was getting a max of about 80-85w using the anker powerh... Read More
You must have 2 for it to work and plug them both into the 8mm adapter that comes with the machine.
Packaging/appearance
The 8mm i used for my jackery was bent and didn't stay snug to the plug.
In the video you can see it's a sunny day and my jackery and larger portable battery are only getting around 60-75w from the 120w panel.
Competitiveness
We purchased two of these to charge our jackery 1500.
Got enough sunlight to power my rockpals 200w solar generator in 1/2 a day easy to clean.
Tested the solar panel out on my jackery 300.
So i bought a victron mppt solar charge controller, and now i can run the 12 volt refrigerator indefinitely.
