This pump like any draws a bit more current at start up than once in operation so its best powered directly from a fuse protected 12 v dc battery circuit

For my testing i used a five gallon bucket and an ac to 12v dc 5a adapter the pump sticker indicates 4

With this setup i did not see any leaks however the output pressure was not able to reach its full potential due to the power adapter cutting out with the higher current draw

I also added about 25 of garden hose and took the end up to the second floor deck giving about 17 of head the pump had no trouble pumping the water up that high and i still had decent distance when spraying the water

The product page indicates 131ft of lift head but there is no indication at all in the instructions or on the pump sticker
