Bought this little river 2 when amazon had them on sale.

So the river 2 pro arrived and within 24 hours i noticed that there were some issues with it.
Once the river 2 arrived for sale i thought about getting a smaller and more compact device.
Competitiveness
It's really easy to carry and the app is actually usable unlike some of the rivals.
I decided to purchase the river 2 pro due to having 2 solar panels that produce 200w and the river 2 can only handle 110w solar input.

You do pay for the low weight in capacity and features though

Unlike its bigger brothers however it is missing the automation features so you cant for example set it to auto charge at 25am on octopus cheap power without setting up a whole raspberry pi worth of third party tools

Its also lacking the 12v jack on the bigger units only having a car lighter style interface

Finally its got an annoying quirk that whilst you can set a minimum battery level this is ignored on the old style usb ports so they can flatten it

This means you can throw a panel on it and itll power devices from the panel and charge from it to 100 if it can but if there is no solar it will use the battery down to a configurable percentage before switching over to mains unless their is no mains in which case itll keep running in battery mode
