This pan comes preseasoned so i washed it with warm water and a stiff nylon brush before using it and i didnt bother with seasoning it first

I removed them from the pan raised the heat and put on a couple of pork chops

After all this i noticed that there was a small accumulation of crisp bits stuck to the bottom of the pan

Following the use and care instructions i let the pan cool off then washed it in warm water and used a stiff nylon brush to clean it out

There is lots of information on the web about this so do some research to decide if this is the right pan for you

Sadly this true of most cast iron pans produced today because the manufacturers dont bother polishing the cooking surface
