The brackets that hold the legs are already screwed onto the underside and the pilot holes are already drilled and drilled accurately so all you have to do is slide the legs into place and screw them down

I took away one star for how difficult it was to screw the legs to the bottom of the table the instructions were very adamant that only hand tools be used

I use it for study with my laptop computer desk lamp and books on top so i do not know how well it will standup to an abusive environment e
