I guess the hooks is easier for kids to grab it and hang it themselves but my 4 year old has way to many play dresses so we pick out he favorites to put on the hooks

We fold up the others and set in other slots or ill just keep some in her closet like we do

The other side well use for her dress up stuff but there arent nearly enough hooks for all of her princess dresses
