They have some cushion but it is a crispy foam that i am assuming more lends to breathability and waterproofing than cushioning

My old 25l daypack is looking rather the worse for wear after being used for everything from a diaper bag to hauling a concrete garden umbrella base across berlin and numerous flights and hikes in between

That and its moderate weight mean it isnt the pack id reach for for short multiday hikes
