Pros & Cons
Pros
There is an insole that is pretty comfy and can be removed to add your own arch support insoles. My only con for this boot is that i would have liked it to come up a bit higher on my ankles, an extra hook on the top to help wrap the ankle.
Kind of an oxymoron but break in seems to be pretty easy (compared to say dr martens). The originals had skived leather work, these are a simpler version of height couture but still very nice. Love look and feel of real leather and the sew on welt sty... Read More
Half the price of danner, they have a very satisfying vintage look and are very comfortable (textured insoles are nice) even more so after a little breaking in. A very competitive option to danner's at 1/4 the cost for those of us not planning to hike... Read More
Some reviews say theses are too bulky, but i personally don’t like feeling rocks or pebbles under my feet. I have a size 9 and it weighs 1lb 12 oz per shoe. The k6s were the subject of my phd thesis.
Some of the stitching around the to box / sole is a bit ununiformed where it's doable stitched. Have been wearing normal socks with them, no rubs or blisters as of yet.
Cons
A whole lot of money for a complete absense of quality. This isn’t a manufacturing defect, this is straight up poor materials making it a bad product. It's damaging to amazon’s image.
Highlights
Quality
A little bit heavier than expected, but that actually speaks of the quality of the materials these shows are made of.
I'm very happy with the way they fit now for for hiking just going to trial these for packing.
Heavy boots did not come with the red laces as advertised, green and the wax gold.
The included olive green laces look great with the boot, but includes some generic ones as well.
Price
Exactly what i was looking for at a great price.
A couple days after they arrived i saw the price shoot up to over 200 dollars!
Like many i was initially attracted to the danner boots for awesome looks and reputation until i saw the price.
Price - i bought these when they were cheaper than they are now.
Competitiveness
For that price, i'd save up the extra cash and buy danners.
I was hoping for a danner-style at a cheaper price point, but you get what you pay for.
