Pros
There are no flaws in the stitching and the leather looks of good quality. Other than lacing, the construction seems good, with solid, well-stitched uppers and a rugged sole. They appear to be weatherproof right out of the box.
Snug comfortable fit, great for a long hike. No issues in being in these all day. Believe it or not, they're dressy too! Only complaint is that they are a bit snug with his wool hiking socks.
Leather uppers are attractive enough to wear to work on a cold, rainy day. They're waterproof up to 5 or 6 inches deep. These are only mid-tops and not high-tops so walking through puddles and creeks will get your feet wet.
The toe box is nice an roomy to accommodate thick hiking socks. I'm a size 12, and these run a bit tight. These are smaller and a tighter fit than all of those.

Virtually no arch or sole support.

So far i have had no problems with the build quality of these shoes.
The boots are warm and that, along with the waterproof feature, will come in very handy this winter.

Next i swapped out the insoles (which are attached with a light adhesive and are fairly easy to remove) with some spenco insoles.

On the boot at the end of where the boot laces stop it was very narrow

I would say qualitywise these are on par with keens or merrells at a similar price point meaning you shouldnt expect these to hold up to a severe beating but they are not junk either
