Pros & Cons
Pros
They are sturdy with good traction and well made. The insides are cushioned nicely, and offer great support on flat ground or uneven surfaces. They offer good ankle and arch support and feature a terrific non-slip tread.
These are almost like a hiking boot/sneaker hybrid. They are comfortable without being heavy and clunky. They have a wide, comfortable toe box and hood tread on the bottom. Made for thicker socks though.
Normally thicker socks are worn hiking. The sizing is good. They fit perfectly and are super comfortable to walk in.
These boots look very attractive as well as being flawlessly comfortable. It's not just comfortable and durable but stylish in its category.
Cons
Each shoe's insole stops short at different points. When you lace them up, the ankle part in the bag digs into your leg.

Price
For less than $40 these hiking shoes were fantastic.
I was pleasantly surprised with how nice these are for the price.
At the price point (they were fifty dollars when i got them and still are that price), it's a good deal.
At the time i ordered, these were priced under $70 which is a decent price for good hiking shoes.
Packaging/appearance
The box i received was correctly reflecting the shoes that should have been inside, but that's not what i got.
Competitiveness
I tried several brands of hiking boots and these were by far the most comfortable.
The eddie bauser ones are even valued at 2x the price as the others.
Then i saw the eddie bauer ones and thought: i know eddie bauer, they are a good brand and they will be better.
5-8 in most brands, closer to a 7.
