Pros & Cons
Pros
Bass sound is amazing for the size - it is only when you really push the drivers that they distort a bit on heavy bass, which is a shame. Treble at +4 db on the back of the speakers, it seems to be the right mix for my uses.
R2000db speakers are a bit smaller, yet they sound very good. I mainly use the remote so the controls in the back don’t matter much to me. The only problem is that i have a two monitor setup(large desk) with the pc case on the left side.
I am honestly not able to describe how amazing it sounds in person when dialed on on a good eq from the source.
The new setup consists of a cd carousel player, blu-ray player tv, and these edifier 2000dbs. Bluetooth works fine too for your music but the quality and robustness cannot compare to when you use the tv as a media hub & connect with optical audio ... Read More
Cons
The knobs are all on the back of the speaker which meant i had to reach behind and blindly adjust the volume or eq blindly. The speakers pop when scrolling or browsing media. Will not connect to iphone.
Not a fan. More like 50-100. Disappointed in these. They're a competent effort, but i would not buy a second set.
Highlights
Quality
I was skeptical at first but, i was amazed by the quality of sound that is produced.
The speakers are nice looking and have very good quality sound.
The edifier r2000db connected with an optical cable blow those speakers out of the water.
I tried going back to my previous speakers after using these for almost a month and don't know how i managed to stand them.
Price
To be fair i’ve never dropped more than $100 on a speaker before so i’m no expert but these sound incredible
Got them on cyber monday and for the money they were better than expected.
Competitiveness
I also tried out the 1280db, 1700bt and 1850db, and these were by far the best.
I love a lot of bass, but i actually found i liked the 2000db’s punchy & precise bass a lot, even more than the 1850db which ma... Read More

My conclusions were that the other 3 speakers sounded far to ‘boxy’

This one sounded very ‘open’ and it was especially noticeable in the highsvocals

The black looks is also great and i prefer it to the wooden look of the other model speakers

So you will have to change to classic each time manually with the remote
