Pros & Cons
Pros
Bass/subwoofer works well and is not too 'punchy' or loud. The sub is huge and it shakes me entire house, i bet the whole neighborhood could hear the bass at full volume.
As an audiophile on a budget, this is absolutely perfect. The sound quality is so crisp, it makes me smile every time i play a song. The volume automatically resets to ~40% which is louder than i normally listen to up close.
Plastic on the front seems thick with no flexing. The cabinet is sturdy and the knobs and * feel like they'll hold up well. The materials, the way they were secured, the speaker materials, etc are all signs of a well developed setup.
The only persistent issue i have with the product as a whole is that the remote, is quite irregular and has drawn jokes from friends about it being a hockey-puck.
With the myriad of connection options these have, i use the optical connection for my tv and the aux for my turntable.
Cons
Sub keeps disconnecting randomly not worth the money. The enclosure rattles around 60 percent power. The only way to tell if the speakers are at max volume is to look at the light that displays what channel you're on.
Highlights
Quality
Sound quality is pretty good for bluetooth speakers, easy to set up.
This system sounds great-components are all high quality, heavy and well made.
The buttons are also not brightly marked, so i have to put on my reading glasses every single time to use this remote.
So that leaves this system with only three wires needed to use it, the power for the bookshelf speakers, the power for the sub,... Read More
Price
If i had to complain i would say these edifiers could use a bit more mid range, but for $250, these are a steal.
A bit pricey, but sounds so incredibly good, great bass, mid range and highs with great power!
I am one of those crazy audiophiles that happily paid $3k for a phono cartridge.
Adds great sound, but it’s not inexpensive.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging was great, there was no damage to any of the speakers.
Packs a room with great clean, quality sound.
Right outa the box they are nuts!
Competitiveness
Using the optical setting on my fiio m11pro made the speakers sound very good compared to all other inputs.
I was using the incredible focal book wireless speakers before this, and if you know anything about focal, you know they are ab... Read More
