Pros & Cons
Pros
Uh-oh hippo comes with 16 different plastic pieces, and 8 of which go into the hippo's mouth in the pie divided compartments. The aim of the game is to determine which piece the hippo ate when it closed its mouth.
Game is a great way to help younger children build up on their observation and memory skills. The game has withstood 24 5-7 year olds playing with it regularly for several weeks. I am a school based slp and i work with preschoolers and this game has b... Read More
It is very easy to set up and came packaged nicely! I love how the instruction guide includes some different ways to play it to make it more challenging as they get better at playing.
It is a great memory game that keeps him engaged, and his giggles are infectious! The players have to guess which piece is missing. You have to remember which object dissapeared rather than matching something.
Cons
Once everyone has guessed, you press the bird on his tail and he poos out the object. The concept is amazing, but the product is defective. Pieces get jammed and fly out too.
Highlights
Quality
My wife uses this game for therapy in the public school and is great with the elementary kids.
My 8 year old is having fun playing also with the mouth full for more of a challenge.

Packaging/appearance
I also like that this is pretty much ready to play right out of the box.
I like that there is minimal packaging, and the bag containing the small pieces is reusable.
You have to be careful not to push down on the hippo's mouth without clearing out the item otherwise it will jam up.
Competitiveness
The kids find it a hillarious toy to play with when they are not playing it as a game.

This is a great memory game… as long as you let your students children watch the hippo poop enough times beforehand that they can actually focus on the game instead of just putting in pieces and pooping them out over and over again
