It’s fascinating & gets the whole family watching the tunnels form. This is great for classrooms and observing at home. Instructions are clear and it is amazing to watch the day to day activities of our ants.

Play sand is moist & easy to manipulate for the ants. You can clean the habitat and put in fresh sand and reuse it. One con about this product is it's difficult to moisten the sand.

The design of this ant farm is impractical. No sand and no coupon to be found. The ants are not sturdy at all.

The box was broken (torn) and obviously worn. There were smudges on the glass. There is a painted graphic on the top which blocks the view from one side. The lids were so cheap that a second of the three lids broke and did not close.

Warning: the type of ants they send can sting you and the sting is more painful than a bee sting.

Still, they were affordable and much loved.

Of the ants die, for whatever reason, it is easy and inexpensive to order more.

The factory comes with a voucher to order ants- but you have to pay $4-$5 for the ants and they come in a little tube in the mail.

The ants arrived safely in the mail and quickly set about building their colony.

Delivery was over thanksgiving holiday and we were not home to receive immediately.

Contacted company and they sent two tubes of live ants very quickly.

The coupon is for free shipping for the ants.

Packaging/appearance

It also comes with a booklet that tells you exactly what to do and how to do it and also gives some interesting information on ants!

The box did come damage but everything i need was included.

I didn’t notice if an ant coupon came with because my children opened the package and i’m going to catch wild ones anyway.

Competitiveness

Perhaps the manufacturer of the ant farm should consider a different type of ant.
