The eero app is really intuitive and fun, and has lots of great features. It does this effortlessly, and while i'm glad i got two one could maybe have done the trick.

Cons

These are garbage. Do not buy. That's how deeply i regret purchasing my eero.

User interface doesn't allow for prioritizing devices or selecting single connection points. The gateway looses connection with the router all the time. The only available option is to turn off the modem and router and turn them back on.

The problem is support. Everything in there is too simple. A complete mess. No consistency.

Wifi upload speeds are horrible, <. After 1 day speeds down 10 mbps. Thru-put seems to be less than my isp provided modem/router too. It appears that either they have no sla's or they figure if they ignore me they won't have to admit that their $30... Read More

I owned a netgear wifi extender (~$30-$50) because i have the furthest room in the house from modem.

Packaging/appearance

The quality of the product and heck even the packaging is on a par with my iphones!

I placed the beacon in the middle of the house to bring signal to the rest of the rooms.

Competitiveness

I found this very easy to set up with verizon fios.

I tested the speeds with our old router right before installing the eero system to compare and was blown away!

There are a number of mesh wifi solutions on the market, but none easier to set up and manage than eero.

After doing some research, i decided to go with eero because the users claimed simplicity of set-up.
