It is completely quiet unless you use above 300 watts then it sounds like a fan. The sound isn't bothersome at all. I plan on having a electrician connect it to my homes breaker box for back up power.
Recharging is quick, so it can be charged back up during the hours generators are allowed. This runs my weather station, wi fi modem and 7 cubic inch ice freezer. Worked like a charm with the 1000 watt delta 2 battery.
Se ond note. This unit has 3. Hotplates, space heaters etc use 1. The delra pro with 2 extra batteries run my entire cabin with all appliances, lighting and a 2 person hot tub.
Cons

They manufacture a fine product but fail miserably with their software. It's quite obvious that your writers are woefully overworked. The same is true after buying the product, registering it, taking advantage of membership programs, etc.
Time estimate makes no sense and is useless. Overall time estimate only applies to the primary battery, not the secondary battery. The app is difficult to understand, which is indicative of a design that's not well thought out.

The handle that slides out broke the first time it was pulled out.
It charges in less then 2 hours and on slow charge it takes about 8 hours to charge fully from 20% at 400 watts.
Price
I saved 5 hundred dollars to go towards the side batteries, one at a time.
It is well worth the asking price and with the discount it was a no brainer.
And yes, food is way to expensive to just sit and watch those go bad.
There not cheap i waited until amazon run there sell the 11,12.
Shipping
The only fly in the ointment was the delivery, it was supposed to arrive on monday but didn't get to me until friday.
Unit arrived 0 power and can not get app online.
I ended up having to pay to have this packaged for safe shipment.
That said, once i was finally able to get it shipped the warranty repair took only two days before it was reshipped to me.
Packaging/appearance
However, i will say that you should keep your packaging.
Competitiveness
There are other brands out there and you can always put together a diy but i was impressed by how smart and portable this thing is.

You can probably get a gas generator for under 1000 to do some of that or get this battery and transfer switch for between 3 and 4 thousand dollars

No longer do i need to have cables running all over the house to the gas generator have to maintain the generator in the rain to have power to say nothing about the noise and the smell of it

Depending on what you are running it will only last you a a day or two without needing to be recharged but most power outages do not lost longer than that

We havent had an outage yet thankfully but have been using it to power our entertainment center and anything that charges via usb just to get an idea of how it works and get used to it
