Pros & Cons
Pros
The * all have a good spring. Make no mistake. The joysticks are a bit to loose for my liking but i replaced the tension springs with stronger ones and they work great.
This setup is so much easier than the ps/2 keyboard emulator card rat's nest that it is replacing. The only downside is with the leds.
The joystick controller boards have standard usb connects and the included usb cables are long giving you options with your build. The * light up and they have a default coin, 1 and 2 player button included with the regular *. I have 3 of these on the... Read More
The joysticks are clicky. The micro controllers are all installed properly and click well.
Cons
Fake chrome painting. But the button are garbage. These are not chrome plated the are shiny silver plastic!
Are bad. The rest are ok. The other side is completely dead. Very badly. Just stuck down.

Highlights
Quality
The quality of the material is really good.
Just make sure to keep a keyboard nearby, because not everything can be done with the joystick (like wifi configuration).
Packaging/appearance
Gave it 4 stars because i thought the instructions could be better and a couple of the leds in the the buttons didn't work.
Competitiveness
I built a bartop arcade with this controller kit, and it works great.
I ordered this kit to build a mame arcade cabinet with and it works great with my retropie setup.
I had bought a retropie before with 2 external joysticks with snes layout.
It has more buttons than retropie can handle (at first sight); i still need to do a little digging there.

Good buttons but they are not uniform in design which is annoying
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
A minor quibble i wish that the tops of the buttons didnt rotate freely since the coin and player button labels can get turned upsidedown

When you wire them they have a positive and negative terminal and you have to wire them properly or they dont light up
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The problem is the positive and negative sides are not consistent on the buttons so you have to plug your controller board in and test the led wires
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
If the led doesnt light just switch the wires it wont it the led if you get it wrong it just wont light up until the wires are on the right terminals
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
When you are testing the wires dont put them all the way on as they are hard to get off
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
This sound like a bigger problem than it was
