This ends up in the hole on the switch and its there to prevent the wires from falling off the switch. The connectors are now simply friction held in place.
Cons
The weblink controller is not compatible with any mame or mame emulator. If you reprogram the first one, the second controller stops working. The * are hard to press, noisy, and no color matching is bad.

I trimmed it all the way and it would still not fit

I was completely disappointed after following instructions and couldnt figure out why the joystick was unusable

It wasnt until a friend of mine figured out that the last piece on the instructions actually goes on the bottom of the joystick where the sensors are located

If you get the instructions there are 3 plastic pieces that appear to go on the rod before inserting and it will appear to fit correctly that way

However if your clip is touching the metal for the button sensors you have assembled it incorrectly
