Pros & Cons

Pros

It takes me at least 30 minutes to do trimming and the 4ah battery has no problem powering the trimmer for that long. The string trimmer and chainsaw attachment also works well with this power head. The push button string loader. Loading the trimming ...  Read More

Works great and seems rugged enough to withstand snag jams in intense brush. It is pricey but seems like it should last. The heft of the machine (with tiller attachment) makes me think it is a rugged durable unit.

The 4 amp hr battery that came with the kit is more than adequate for my needs. Rechargeable batteries. Ah battery lasts a long enough to trim around a medium size yard 2 or 3 times.

Cons

Seems pricey for a brush cutter. Makes a lot of noise and jerks while only pulling in the string every 10 seconds. Tiller attachment is too heavy for the powerhead shaft. Took 6 phone calls over the course of weeks to obtain a new screw.

I am very unhappy with amazon telling me it can take 37 days before i get my full refund.

Quality

Easy assembly and worked great in my backyard brush

Good item and works with great range of attachments.

The first attachment used was the chain saw, and this cut through our limbs and felled branches with ease, like a hot knife through butter.

I learned to use non-alcohol fuel with stabilizer and empty the tanks and run them dry at the end of the season but they still ...  Read More

Price

Was faster and cheaper than hiring someone to come out and cut the high up branches on my trees.

Works great and even with expensive battery prices after weighing in on trips to gas station or to lawn mower shop i’m still a ...  Read More

That was an expensive buy but worth it.

Not big deal, but you need to get used to the idea that you need to tilt it if you want the cut height shorter than 1.

Packaging/appearance

Very well packaged and might be just what i was looking for.

Competitiveness

Spent way too many hours comparing ego vs milwaukee and others.

Bought this product and several other after husband bought the lawnmower by same brand.

I have a regular ego hedge trimmer, but you can't beat this for higher or deeper hedges.

Connecting the edger or trimmer to the power head is not always easy i typically have to twist it around push the engagement button and generally wiggle it a bit to get what i think are the spline connections to mesh up between the accessory and the power head

The power head made a whining sound at first but went away after a few uses
