This hedge trimmer is much safer to use as it requires 2 hands to operate it. It uses the same rechargeable batteries. The carbon fiber shaft moves the balance point to just in front of the hand.

I think it's the best, i'm biased, this is the only battery operated hedge trimmer i've ever tried, with the exception of my ego lawn trimmer.

Cons

Beware of this gotcha, folks. It’s certainly a malicious deception. Very dissatisfied and wasted $200.

The battery last a long long time and it will cut through anything!

An electric brake-stop cuts the tool's action off almost immediately for increased safety.

I would not buy from the seller " cheaper than retail".

Very expensive purchases but worth every penny by far.

Just received it the other day and it literally flew through some trimming work which used to take me an hour to do in 10 minutes.

Packaging/appearance

Surprisingly, it was all in the box, even though the top flap was completely open and the contents clearly visible.

Product works fine despite packaging being damaged and wet.

Has a plastic sheath to protect it when transporting it.

Competitiveness

As good as all the other ego products.

The extra 2 inch reach i have compared to my old toro hedge trimmer is also a plus.

The newer models, even the commercial models do not compare.

The ht2501 hedge trimmer by ego is more expensive than the 26 inch model (ht2600) which is a little confusing.
